Training for SMEs

Through the alliance between BBVA Francés and UCA, the "Camino al Exito" (Path to Success) program services the training and skills needs of owners and executives in micro, small and medium-sized companies, providing them with the knowledge and tools they need for financial literacy and management. The aim is to make it easier for them to develop the tools they need to adapt business management to the current conditions of the markets where they operate.

Mi Primera Empresa

BBVA Francés in partnership with the Proydesa Foundation, runs the Mi Primera Empresa (My First Company) program, a business plans competition for young people aged between 16 and 20 years. The aim of this course is for the participants to develop financial skills to project and design their own companies.

BBVA Francés Financial Literacy for Young People

The BBVA Francés Financial Literacy program has the aim of helping children to successfully complete Secondary Education. It is a one-year renewable program designed for secondary-school children aged between 12 and 19 from low-income homes.

This module will help you implement your own savings plan. With the help of an Expense Planner you will find how you can manage your savings best.

Financial Health workshop

This module is dedicated to the analysis of your financial situation and to reflect on savings as a powerful strategy that is always within your scope to achieve your goals.

Financial Literacy for Businesses

BBVA offers financial literacy courses to workers in companies in two forms: on-site workshops and online courses. In both cases they are free and the focus is on making tools available to people to improve their financial health.

This advice will help you learn in simple steps the keys to good financial health and how to handle banking products effectively.

Videos on Savings, Credit Cards and Credit Health

These are videos on Savings, Credit Cards and Credit health that will offer you situations, facts and financial messages flexibly and dynamically and allow you to associate basic abstract concepts with reality.

Interactive Tools

A range of interactive devices will give you a better idea of your financial situation. You can also discover and learn more about the concepts used by the main documents issued by the financial institutions, such as account statements and credit history. There are 3 interactive tools: "Know and interpret your account statement"; "Interpret your credit history"; and "Evaluate your credit situation".

Financial Calculators

The calculators are a tool you can use whenever you want for your personal finances. You can choose between the Expense Planner, Choose the Best Investment, How Long do you Want to Pay Back Your Loan? What is your Credit Health? and Restructure Your Loans.

Transaction Channels and Banking Security workshop

The workshop will teach you about the means offered by the financial system to carry out transactions in accordance with your needs and the security measures you have to take into account in each of the transactional channels.

Credit Health workshop

Do you have problems in paying your credit cards at the end of the month? How well do you administer your loans? This workshop will enable you to design a strategy that adapts to your conditions and organize a payment plan to maintain or improve your credit health.

Credit Card workshop

On-site course for SMEs

We support the development of SME clients with a high value and potential for growth through a specialized course in partnership with IPADE.

Diploma for Entrepreneurs and SMEs

We support the development of entrepreneurs and SMEs with an online diploma that boosts their development and skills in partnership with INADEM and Universidad U. Anáhuac.

SME workshop: Cash Flow

This workshop will allow you to maintain your company's economic stability through a variety of financial services. Discover the importance of control, separating your personal finances from those of your business, as it is very important not to mix them. The workshop consists of 3 topics: "The importance of managing your business"; "Identify cash in your business"; and "Improve cash flow in your business."

SME workshop: loan hedging

If you want to ask for a loan for your business but don't know what is better for you or why, here you can discover everything about hedging; you can analyze its characteristics through simulations that allow you to determine the advantages of having an interest-rate hedge in loans that meets your needs. This workshop consists of 3 topics: "The interest rate of a loan and its effects on your business," "Security for your business: derivatives" and "Loans with hedging."

SME workshop: loans

Perhaps you don't realize, but there are loans specifically designed to make your company grow, regardless of your business or its size. With the help of simulators and calculators you will learn to identify which is best for you and the best way of administering and paying for it. This workshop consists of 4 topics: "Loans"; "Types of loans for your business"; "Requirements for applying for a loan for your business"; and "Keys to managing loans in your business."

Stock Exchange Workshop

Discover how the Mexican Stock Exchange influences the economy of your family, company and the whole country; and then learn to analyze and incorporate stock-market information from different sources available to you, making you an investor that can take intelligent long-term investment decisions. This workshop consists of 3 topics: "Stock-market trading"; "The Stock Exchange"; and "Learn and Decide".

Training for SMEs

Pymes al Éxito (SMEs to Success) is a program created by BBVA at regional level, implemented in 7 Latin American countries where the bank operates. It consists of on-site training of SME owners who want their businesses to grow. The program is open to the bank's customers and non-customers. Participants receive on-site training of 50 hours at Universidad Paraguayo Alemana. The training consists of providing advice that is fairly specific to each individual, with each participant preparing a growth plan according to the characteristics of his or her company.

Credit Health workshop

In the Credit Health workshop you will learn about the strategies that allow you to establish a payment plan and maintain your credit health.

Credit workshop

You discover what credit is, what types of credit there are, and how to use cards correctly. You'll learn to make credit work for you!

Savings workshop

The Savings workshop will help you achieve your goals. You will find out how to design a savings plan and you will learn about the main banking instruments.

Adelante con tu futuro

"Adelante con tu futuro" (Forward with your Future) is a program aligned with BBVA's priority to drive increased banking penetration in the area. It supports financial literacy and improvement in people's current and future financial situation.

Training for SMEs

Skills training courses for owners of SMEs, who attend on-site classes following an application and evaluation process. The businesspeople selected will learn from the prestigious Business School CENTRUM Católica and will be able to make their business grow. The list of topics has been drawn up to provide support to those taking part and give them tools that allow them to achieve greater growth and resilience for their businesses.

Tu dinero, tu amigo (Your Money, Your Friend)

Talks given to raise the awareness of people in the banking system, giving information on the three most popular products in the Peruvian market: savings, credit cards and mortgage loans.

Mi jubilación - BBVA Pensions Institute

"Mi jubilación" (My Retirement) was created to increase awareness in society about pensions and saving for retirement, so that people can take informed decisions on financial planning for their future retirement. Anyone, regardless of their age, level of financial knowledge or employment situation, has access to a number of materials and simulation tools. In addition, we offer a consultancy service to answer basic questions on public pensions and savings for retirement.

Development of training programs for SMEs and entrepreneurs based on digital transformation.

Your Finance, Your Future

Each year, the AEB and its associate banks mobilize over 600 volunteers who are bank employees to visit a hundred schools around Spain and give financial literacy courses to over 7,000 school students aged between 13 and 15. They are under the educational supervision of the Junior Achievement Foundation as a contribution to the European Money Week, organized each year by the European Banking Federation in over 30 European countries.

EFEC

Financial Literacy in Schools in Catalonia (EFEC): The project is based on offering financial knowledge to a variety of groups at various levels, but above all schools and adolescents. This was the driving force behind the launch of the EFEC program in 2012. Its aim is to offer public schools, charter schools and private schools in Catalonia the chance to offer basic financial literacy classes to students in the 4th year of the ESO cycle (the final year of Compulsory Secondary Education). As well as BBVA the main banks in Catalonia also take part.

Future Values

"Valores de futuro" (Future Values) is a financial literacy program covering material related to the responsible use of money in the context of education in values. It promotes skills and values associated with the use of money, such as hard work, solidarity, savings and so on, by conducting participative workshops to encourage reflection and dialogue in the classroom. It is targeted at students in Primary School and the 1st to 3rd years of ESO.

Get Smart About Credit

The Get Smart About Credit program -sponsored by the ABA Community Engagement Foundation- is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who work with young people to raise awareness about the importance of using credit wisely.

Teach children to save

Teach Children to Save is a national program sponsored by the ABA Foundation that organizes banker volunteers to help young people develop a savings habit early in life.

Money Smart

The FDIC Money Smart curriculum is a set of 11 instructor-led training modules that cover basic financial topics. The subject matter begins with a description of consumer rights laws and deposit and credit services offered by banks. It then moves progressively towards topics such as choosing and maintaining a checking account, the mechanics of budgeting, the importance of saving, and how to obtain and use credit effectively.

Great ideas for Small Business

“Great ideas for Small Business” focuses on the business area, with themes grouped under leadership, growth and transactions. The contents are intended for small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to start up and develop their projects successfully in every aspect: funding, communication, management of human resources, and so on. SMEs and entrepreneurs are a key piece in countries’ economic development, and they need to be given specific contents that meet their needs and are adapted to their real situation, so as to guarantee their growth and sustainability.

Money Fit: Financial Fitness Center

The contents focus on everyday finances and cover everything from simple issues such as saving and budgeting, through to handling different aspects in each life stage, such as loans, your own home, the family, career and retirement. And all explained in straightforward language that everyone can understand. The aim of “MoneyFit” is to offer advice and training on finances in a practical way to reach the maximum number of people possible.

BBVA Compass Future Builders Program

The Future Builders program uses technology firm EverFi’s web-based financial literacy program to teach students healthy financial habits and basic money management skills at an early age.

Training for SMEs

"Camino al éxito" (Path to Success) includes a training program for SMEs in which BBVA provides training for companies through Universidad ORT, Uruguay. The best companies that have accessed the training program can choose to enter a competition for one of the three "Camino al Éxito" prizes: Innovation, Geographical Expansion or Social Impact.

Credit Health workshop

The workshop allows you to identify the characteristics of credit bureaus and credit history. The aim is also to discover the appropriate information for preventing, identifying and correcting problems with the handling of loans.

Credit workshop

The main objective of this workshop is to identify the characteristics of credit and the different types of finance. Also, to discover the basic characteristics of credit cards, their benefits, how to interpret information on the state of your account correctly and how to make good use of them as a financial instrument.

Savings workshop

This workshop aims to provide information on basic concepts of saving and the form of preparing a savings plan. There is also work on the most convenient banking instruments for each person's profile.

Adelante con tu futuro

The "Adelante con tu futuro" (Forward with Your Future) program offers personal finance workshops aimed at young people in middle school (2nd cycle of secondary school) and adults who are already in the banking system or about to enter it. It is targeted at both customers and non-customers. BBVA and the DESEM Foundation (with which the bank has established an alliance to run the program) work together to implement the workshops in the program in a number of educational centers and companies.

With the support and participation of corporate volunteers who have been trained in Financial Literacy subjects, communities are given on-site courses on personal finance where the beneficiaries receive the information that allows them to handle their personal and family finances intelligently.

Adelante con tu futuro (Forward with Your Future)

This is a website through which we provide the public in general with access to information of interest related to basic financial knowledge that is appropriate to different age groups: children, young people, adults, families and the elderly.

Financial Literacy Course for Young People

The Financial Literacy Course for young people provides tools allowing individuals to recognize the importance of the value of money over time and concepts related to its calculation. It also teaches how to identify key definitions and strategies for intelligent consumption, and the correct use of credit and financial cards.

BBVA Provincial Foundation Financial Literacy Professorship

Given in partnership with Universidad Católica Andrés (UCAB), its aim is to promote knowledge of financial subjects and entrepreneurship among citizens who want to create microenterprises and/or organized businesses. In addition, it provides training for the general public on financial issues with the aim of empowering people by giving them a better capacity to make correct decisions in family or personal finance.
