Chief of Presidency's Office at BBVA Bancomer


Adolfo Albo Márquez earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, ITAM. He also earned a postgraduate degree from Boston University, USA. He has received the following awards: Banamex Econmics Prize, the Tlacaélel Prize for Economic Consultancy and has also been awarded by the World Trade Organization (WTO). Adolfo Albo’s career as economist and specialist in Latin America’s financial and banking systems is broad. From 2000 to 2004 he served as Chief Economist for Latin America at BBVA and then, between 2004 and 2012, as Chief Economist for Mexico at BBVA Bancomer. He has prepared different studies and papers on economic and financial topics in collaboration with institutions such as Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) In 2013, Adolfo Albo Márquez was appointed Chief of Staff of the Chairman’s Office at BBVA Bancomer, Mexico.
