Senior Researcher at Group for the Analysis of Development - GRADE
Hugo Ñopo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University (Evanston Illinois), a MsSc in Mathematical Economics from the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) ans two college degrees, one in Mathematics from de Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú (Lima, Perú) and another in Systems Engineering froom the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (Lima, Perú). He is currently a Seniro Researcher at GRADE, where he has conducted studies for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), UNESCO, UNDP, and the Consurtioum fro Economic and Social Research. Hugo is also a board memner at different start-ups and foundations for the social develompemnte of Peru and Latin America. He has been Lead Economist of the Education Division at the IDB and previosly reseracher of its research Despartment. Before joining the IDM he was Assitant PRofessor at Middlebury College, affiliated Researcher at GRADE ans advisor at the Ministry of Labor and Social Promotion in Peru.
