María José Roa
Senior Researcher at CEMLA
María José Roa holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. She has been teaching and researching for twenty years. Her research is mainly on economic growth, financial inclusion, behavioral finance, personality psychology in economics, and financial education. She has lectured at Carlos III University in Madrid (Spain), the Center for Economic Research and Teaching in Mexico (CIDE) (México) and Ohio State University, (USA), among others. Her work has been published in international indexed journals. She is currently Senior Researcher at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA). She coordinates several education and financial inclusion research initiatives and projects with Central Banks in Latin America and the Caribbean, and is member of the INFE/OECD Research Committee.
