She has a degree in economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration. From 1985 to 1993, she worked at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic in different areas of economic affairs and international department.
Since 2003, she is Executive President of Banco de Ahorro y Crédito Adopem, S. A. Currently, she is Executive Director of the Dominican Association for the Development of Women, Inc. (ADOPEM NGO), Founding member of the Dominican Microfinance Network (REDOMIF Association), President of the Board of REDOMIF, President of the Central American and Caribbean Microfinance Network (REDCAMIF), Former President of the Council of American Development Foundations (SOLIDARIOS) and former President and current member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Savings Banks and Credit Corporations of the Dominican Republic (ABANCORD), Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Alianza ONG, member of the Board of Directors of Fondomicro.
