Teaching financial literacy to children and teens: A guide for parents and teachers

Abstract

This guide provides lessons, resources and interactive games, apps and activities to teach your child the ins and outs of money management.

Parents would be able to help their children to establish good credit and encourage financial independence as they grow older. Each section in this guide is based on the Council of Economic Education’s standards for financial literacy. The standards include earning income, buying goods and services, saving, using credit, financial investing, and protecting and insuring.
