The center

The Center for Financial Education and Capability is a BBVA's initiative to promote the importance of financial knowledge and skills, as a relevant issue that has a direct impact in people's lives.

Center's Principles

Behaviour-change

Encourage a concept of financial education based in behaviour-change including knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviiors and above all a learning-by-doing approach implemented at critical decision-making moments.

All inclusive

Endorse a global financial education approach that targets people at all ages, of any socio-economic background and regardless of their level of access to the financial system. The Center will also consider having an impact on SME's and entrepreneurs.

Promote innovation through the use of digital solutions as a tool to guarantee the responsible access to financial services. Therefore favoring ginancial inclusion and financial health or well-being.

Belief in the value of cooperation between diverse stakeholders and engage in partnerships to disseminate the befefits of financial inclusion and financial health or well-being.

Advocate and promote

Comprehensive approach to advocate and promote the role of financial education and capability in helping to alleviate inequality and lack of opportunities.
